With Elementor, it’s best not to completely password protect a page, but rather to protect the actual content you want hidden. This is pretty simple to do.
Once you’ve opened ‘Edit with Elementor’ on the page you want to add the gated content to, click on on the section you want to gate or password protect and the drawer on the left will open.
Click over to the Advanced tab and scroll down to the Content Protection section. Toggle Content Protection to Yes.
From there, you will want to select whether someone should have access based on their role on the site or, more commonly, with a password.
If you choose Password Protected, you’ll see the drawer change:
From here, you will want to set the password and also edit the text that someone should see when the content is protected.
You can also set the incorrect password message that appears below:
Once completed, click to Publish or Update your page and your content should be all set!
