NetSocial Release 2.3.6 (12/27/22)

• Added the ability to reschedule a post that failed to send. 
• Improved user experience of the calendar modal on both desktop and mobile.
• Improved the size of the calendar as well as the display of the post modal view.

NetSocial Release 2.3.5.5 (12/1/22)

• Added check to ensure Facebook re-scrapes post metadata/URLs (title, description, images) from NetSocial link shares to prevent 404s on Facebooks posts.
• Improved NetSocial mobile display by adding same links from desktop quick link button to mobile version - Channels, Pending Posts, and Help Center.
• Improved user experience of the notification dropdown, allowing more notifications to display and making things easier to read/view.
• Updated our process of sending link and text shares to LinkedIn. We provide the thumbnail image, title, and description when sharing, instead of relying on LinkedIn’s web scraping. This resolves the bug of seeing “Web Link” for link titles/descriptions. This also resolves web scraping issues at LinkedIn for missing link previews on profile link shares.
• Related to LinkedIn sharing, upgraded NetSocial shares to LinkedIn from using their legacy UGC API and Shares API, to the new Posts API and upgraded NetSocial video and image LinkedIn shares to use LinkedIn’s Videos API and Images API.
• Resolved issue with “Leaderboard” search filter - We removed the “Filter Results“ button so filter will be automatically applied upon selection of date or typing a search keyword.
• Fixed the bug where the 'x' would not close the timeslot modal on the Schedules page when scheduling a post.
• Resolved bug on Analytics page to avoid “Something went wrong…“ error message when filtering by social account.
• Fixed an issue with filter selections on Pending posts page - clearing used to hide the Approval Status filter - now it will stay on the page after clearing your filters.
• Resolved bug occurring on Password Reset page preventing content from loading.
• When you create a post and add it to a channel, you can now delete the post on your calendar only, or delete all instances of that post.
• Fixed bug allowing some posts to go out for paused social media accounts.
• Added enhanced back end logging to help troubleshoot recently reported duplicate post issues. Once issue is identified, a fix will be released.

NetSocial Release 2.3.5.2 (9/28/22)

• Fixed an issue where the delivery failed icon on the post calendar was not showing up if the delivery had an image or video.
• Fixed an issue where menu notifications were erroring out.
• Updated NetSocial version info in the info modal adding Client id, User id and NetSocial version. This is accessibly by clicking on the info icon, “i”, in the top left of NetSocial.
• Updated NetSocial leaderboard stats by adding tooltips for a better understanding of what each stat means. This can be accessed by hovering your mouse over the name of the stat.
• Updated create a post modal so that now a user will know why the "add to queue" button is greyed out. Ex. Have not picked a channel to post to.
• Updated create a post modal to make the "select a channel" field show that it is required.
• Fixed tour formatting.

NetSocial Release 2.3.5.1 Hotfixes (9/22/22)

• We had previously added RSS feed item descriptions for posts originating from RSS feeds, this is now disabled by default for all newly created posts. You can re-enable this by editing the channel settings. Click on the edit icon next to the content feed and check the box “Display Feed Item Description”.
• Fixed content validations in the post dialog component that was causing problems editing posts.
• Added a fix for improperly deleting associated with content sources in channels.
• A fix for a sporadic crash when editing a team member in NetSocial in company view.

NetSocial Release 2.3.5.1 (9/15/22)

• Content Validation Errors when posting/editing: Added fix for error messages when editing posts with media attached.
• HTML code showing in posts: Added checks and replacements for encoded HTML entities from RSS feeds.

NetSocial Release 2.3.5 (9/8/22)

• Added better error handling and service specific disconnected account alerts for Twitter and Instagram.
• Resolved a bug on the channels page where sample content would not display.
• Fixed an issue where the revert button was visible for all post contents -  it should only be available for the posts that have been personalized.

NetSocial Release 2.3.4 (8/23/22)

• RSS feed channel posts now include description text. Previously, posts from channel feeds only included the title and link.
• Improved checks for delivery approvals and global approval settings.
• Smart/curly quotes (copied and pasted from Microsoft Word) are no longer being stripped out of NetSocial posts.
• The sidebar will always be highlighted with the active tab.
• In team view, view more accounts now actually shows the accounts as well as all deliveries.
• Improved badge emails by adding a more personalized user message.
• Fixed an issue where some posts were unable to be edited. This will affect all new posts.

NetSocial Release 2.3.2 (8/4/22)

• We've added a search bar when selecting pages to connect with. If you have lots of pages to connect, you will see this search bar and can use it to help find the particular account you are trying to connect.
• And some small bugfixes to make things work better for you!

NetSocial Release 2.3 (7/21/22)

New Features

• Personalized Posts: When creating a channel post, users have the option to allow post personalization! A channel subscriber who has an approval or scheduled post that allows personalization can personalize their own post content version. A user may also decide to revert their personalized content, which will go back to the default content for that post.

• Account Swap: You can now swap the profile account owner for either Facebook or LinkedIn page/groups. This is handy if you have a user on your team that has created a lot of content for certain pages for which you want to switch ownership of their content.

• Content Approvals: The content approvals (different than delivery approvals) page is now working properly!

Bug Fixes

• Windows typography did not match iOS typography, so if a windows user typed “NASA’s New “Gravity Assist”, it would display as “ NASA’s New “Gravity Assist—.

• Posting to custom services would not provide the correct service info for the default post on post dialog.

• Post content length validation on post dialog was displaying incorrectly.

• Text Input area on post dialog was not resizing properly.

• Users were occasionally allowed to adjust the queue time of a post from edit view.

• Media restrictions would not show up when viewing media recommendations.

• Fixed an issue where users could subscribe to a channel without adding social accounts

• The drafts page was not saving the social account(s) related to the draft.

Other cool new stuff

• Improved Filters: We now have collapsible filters on the post calendar page, and there’s more you can filter by, check it out!

• Approving posts with dates that have passed. If a post that requires delivery or content approval set for a specific time has passed that time, the post will be set as expired and display a yellow "expired" badge on the item and the editor will not be able to approve the post.

• Live updates: Mobile app where users will be notified if there is a new version of NetSocial to download.

• If a user changes their time zone or their company's time zone, they will receive an alert stating consequences (changing your time zone only affects future posts), and the user can either confirm or cancel from there.

• Added a header to the date/time picker when rescheduling posts.

• Added a new warning icon for failed deliveries and a header that displays the error status on the post item.

• Added a Create Post button to the dashboard.

• Removed the ability for users to reconnect Instagram profile accounts.

NetSocial Release 2.2.3 (5/31/2022)

Bug Fixes

• Fixed issue preventing the editing of posts with media attached. This will NOT affect previously posted content. If you need a previously posted piece of content edited, you can contact success@haleymarketing.com with any changes.
• Instagram content no posting? Instagram errors are now going to be more descriptive.

NetSocial Release 2.2.2 (5/19/2022)

Added an option to load more accounts on the Social Accounts page in the “Manage Pages and Groups” modal for accounts with pages and groups. This resolves the account loading time out issue in NetSocial for users with access to 50+ pages and groups.

What’s New in 2.2.1?

• When you share to LinkedIn with a link and an image, the image will now display as the thumbnail.

NetSocial Release 2.2.05 (4/21/2022)

• Resolved issue of “Invite Members or Teams” field not working. Users can now search and select teams and team members!

NetSocial Release 2.2 (4/13/2022)

Video Posting
Users can now create video posts with:

• LinkedIn profiles, pages, and groups

• Instagram business accounts

• Facebook pages and groups

• Twitter profiles

Creating a video post will be similar to creating a post with an image attachment! In the “Create Post” modal, click “Add Media” and select “From File”. Currently we do not support video links. Videos need to be added as attachments.

We are using a 3rd party plugin for Facebook profile manual posting, which does not currently offer video posting.

Improved Posting Dialog
We improved the look and feel of the “Create Post” popup modal by consolidating functions into drop down buttons.

Improved Notifications for Disconnected Account
Modified the Account Disconnect Notification recipients for company owned accounts with an expired connection. If you reconnect or add your account in company view after v2.2 release, disconnect notifications will only be sent to the user who added or reconnected that account. If you have existing accounts added under company view and you would only like yourself to receive those notifications, you need to reconnect the account. If you do not reconnect, all admins will receive disconnect notifications. See this article for reconnecting accounts to NetSocial.

Discontinued Manual Posting to Instagram Accounts
We have automated posting to Instagram business accounts instead of the previous manual posting method. Please see this help article on how to add an Instagram business account. You will still see Instagram manual-posting accounts you have previously added under the Social Accounts page. This is because we have kept your delivered posts data for this account. You can still choose to delete the manual-posting Instagram account if you would like.

Discontinued Posting to LinkedIn Profile and Facebook Profile Accounts in Company View
Subscribing to channels in company view and posting in company view with LinkedIn and Facebook profile accounts is discontinued. Please see help article here for details. You will still see these profile accounts in company view on the Social Accounts page so you can manage your connections for LinkedIn and Facebook pages and groups! We have also added a discontinued warning next to these profile accounts when viewing as company on the Social Accounts page.

Discontinued Show/Hide Profile In Company View
We removed the show and hide account options for Facebook profile and LinkedIn profile accounts that are company owned. These buttons controlled when profile accounts display when creating a post or subscribing to a channel in company view. This feature is unusable because of discontinued sharing for Facebook and LinkedIn profile accounts in company view.

Improved User Management
Added ability to delete team members on the User Management page when viewing as company! The email that was used in a deleted user account can be re-added under any company, but their data can not be reused.

Upgraded 3rd Party Social Authentication
Upgraded LinkedIn OAuth to OAuth v2.0 and implemented refresh tokens. This change allows us to refresh your expired authentication data with LinkedIn more frequently and makes things easier for you! This means less reconnects, as we will preemptively check when your LinkedIn accounts need re-authorizing and do so for you. More info about OAuth 2.0, https://oauth.net/2

• Added a helper icon for posting to Facebook profiles

NetSocial Release 2.1.0 (3/4/2022)

Important Deprecation Notices:

LinkedIn and Facebook: Posting to LinkedIn and Facebook profile accounts under company view is going away. This is to keep a separation of your personal accounts from company sharing. You can still post to pages and groups under company. 

If you would like to connect your Facebook and/or LinkedIn profile account in personal view, navigate to the Social Accounts page and click "Add Account" and select Facebook/LinkedIn.

Add the accounts under personal view and then re-subscribe to any channels.

Instagram: We are completely getting rid of Instagram manual posting. A few releases ago (v2.0) we added sharing to Instagram Business accounts, which is automated with Facebook’s Instagram API. This change to automated Instagram posting will eliminate the extra work of having to open the Instagram app, but requires that your Instagram is a business account. Please see this article to connect your Instagram business account instead.

Drafts

• Fixed an issue where accounts defaulted to Twitter when editing drafts.

Calendar

• Users are now be able to open a post preview by hovering over the calendar event with their mouse.

• The posting calendar now displays delivered post as well as upcoming posts.

• Fixed some refresh issues.

Deliveries

• Fixed our content checks when republishing successful deliveries.

Posting

• Fixed an issue where users were able to post multiple images to Instagram accounts. Facebook's Instagram API does not allow multi-image posts at this time as well as our third party integration for Instagram manual posting (deprecation set for next NetSocial release, v2.2).

Channels

• Channel management has been split into two separate modules for ease of use:

  • Subscription Management, for managing which accounts to share to and subscriptions.

  • Channel Management, for managing sharing preferences, content sources, category selection, name description and image.

Analytics

• Press the “Analyze” Button on the NetSocial Dashboard to access deeper analytics into your posting strategies and even export reports.

Login

• Fixed login authentication issues for newly created team members.

Dashboard

• Added dismissible dashboard banner messages to alert NetSocial users of important news!

Accounts

• Added account label fix for Facebook group accounts. Some users were seeing their Facebook profile name displaying for Facebook groups instead of the group name.

Other

• We upgraded NetSocial from ionic 5 to ionic 6 which comes with some sleek now UI and a lot of goodies that we’ve already taken advantage of to make your NetSocial experience better including, better headers and footers for iOS scrolling, a new date-time component for selecting post times, and new material design for our select components. https://ionicframework.com/blog/announcing-ionic-6/

• We did some housekeeping in our codebase which should theoretically reduce the amount of unhandled errors we come across. 

NetSocial Release 2.0.1 (2/3/2022)

• When viewing the channel dashboard, channels will only appear in one section. (i.e. If you are subscribed to channel abc, it will not appear in your channels and available channels.)
• Users can now unsubscribe to channels and either keep their future posts from that channel but disassociated from the channel, or to delete future posts with the subscription. Admin users can now delete channels and either keep the future posts from that channel but disassociate them from. the channel, or to delete all future posts with the subscription.
• The manage posts page was not refreshing after a draft was published.
• Users were unable to add social media accounts when scheduling a saved draft.
