For all clients who use the Haley Career Portal with Bullhorn (BH) integration, we now have the ability to map custom application URLs from a customText field in BH. You can add a custom app URL for specific jobs in a new custom field in BH, and we will override the Haley application on JUST THOSE JOBS with content in that BH custom field.
Field and Custom Mapping Setup
- Configure and display a customText field in BH on your job order screen, and enter the full application URL (including the https:// or http:// at the beginning of the URL). Not sure how to add a new field? Check with your BH support team to find out how.
- Provide the Bullhorn fieldname (customText??) to your Haley Success team and a job ID for a job with the field populated. They'll confirm the setup is correct and implement the new mapping.
Application Process after the change
Jobs WITHOUT custom app URL from BH
When a candidate applies, the Haley application will be presented and candidates will be added per the standard integration with Bullhorn.
Jobs WITH custom app URL from BH
When a candidate applies on desktop, the custom app URL coming from the new field in BH will open in a new window. A candidate record will NOT be created in BH - this overrides the candidate addition process in our standard BH integration.
Implications for Mobile Application Process
All Career Portal clients have the option to set a unique mobile application experience for their candidates - they would typically choose Haley's standard, classic, or long application, or to load the 3rd party app (custom app URL) - when using the custom app URL with a BH integration, and client wants to present mobile users with the custom app URL for the jobs they've added it to, the jobs that DON'T have the custom app URL will be required to use the standard Haley application only.
Implications for 3rdParty Applications from Indeed/ZipRecruiter (and other aggregators that use a quick apply)
Any jobs that are posted from your Haley job feed via syndication on aggregate sites like Indeed and ZipRecruiter which capture candidate data with quick applies on their site will not be redirected to the custom application URL. Data will pass from Haley to BH for these candidates. If you have a paid relationship with an aggregator, you may be able to request that candidates are redirected back to your Career Portal to apply. Please check with your vendor to see if that's an option for you.
