Did Bullhorn ask you to ask your web developer for a custom job posting link with a Bullhorn job ID in it? Or to change the URL structure of your Haley Career Portal? Hundreds of our Bullhorn clients are set up this way - here's how it works!
The Haley Marketing Career Portal supports this in a couple different ways.
- You have the option to opt in to Haley Marketing's Indeed master feed - we can then send ALL your jobs to Indeed, and you would work with Indeed to set up a tagging system so they know what jobs to promote. Contact our Success team for more information.
- Or you can send jobs directly from Bullhorn to Indeed, but that requires a change in Bullhorn. The remainder of this article will guide you through working with Bullhorn to get this set up!
First, you will need to provide Bullhorn Support with a base link to your job postings that supports appending a Bullhorn job ID.
This is a standard link structure that your Haley Career Portal supports - Bullhorn should implement the base URL as your DOMAIN ROOT - it is essentially your Haley Career Portal URL with the following added to the end:
/index.smpl?arg=jb_details&jid={?}
Here's an example of what you'd provide to them, replacing the italicized link with YOUR Career Portal URL:
https://jobs.haleymarketing.com/index.smpl?arg=jb_details&jid={?}
Your Bullhorn rep will enable this in your BH system. If they're not sure what you're asking them for, please tell them specifically: "Since the live Career Portal has search engine optimization in place, then Bullhorn should use the Haley Marketing provided URL as the domain root on the Corp page or the BH connect menu."
This will allow you to share a job or send jobs to Indeed directly from Bullhorn, as opposed to using the share buttons on the Career Portal or Haley's XML Indeed feed, making it quicker and easier to get your jobs out to your social media sites and Indeed. Candidates who click on your shared link will come right back to your Career Portal to apply.
