Frequently Asked Questions
Who owns the candidates that interact with TalentMatch?
You do! The purpose of this tool is to help you connect with more qualified candidates and close open jobs faster. We will never market other jobs to your candidates.
How do I start using TalentMatch?
This feature will be automatically activated on your Haley Marketing Career Portal. Once enabled, you will be able to review match data associated with any candidate who has interacted with the TalentMatch widget and has applied to an open job.
Are you selling anything to my candidates?
Every candidate that interacts with Talent Match will receive a free in-depth resume review and access to a free resume builder through TopResume. If they choose to, they can purchase services to upgrade their resume or prepare for an upcoming interview. Access to job match feedback is completely free.
Can TalentMatch help capture candidates who do not have a resume?
Yes, one of the benefits of TalentMatch is the option to send the candidate to a free resume builder to help increase your candidates who may not have a resume ready to deliver to you.
Is the TalentMatch widget customizable?
Currently, the widget is available in one color aligned with your branding.
Does TalentMatch share candidate data outside Haley Marketing?
No. All candidate data remains the same as an application that Haley Marketing would deliver. A candidate will receive an email with a more robust view of their TalentMatch data.
How do we ensure there is no bias in the TalentMatch technology?
The parser does not include Personal Identifiable Information (PII) — name, location, etc. — when making the comparison
How many times can a candidate use TalentMatch on our Career Portal?
Usage is unlimited for candidates and there is no cost to continue to receive this data for all candidates that come through your Haley Marketing Career Portal.
Does TalentMatch work on mobile phones?
Yes. There is currently a mobile experience for candidates to help you optimize mobile traffic on your Haley Career Portal.
Can I turn TalentMatch off?
Yes, you can turn the TalentMatch integration off at any time by logging into myHaley and selecting Career Portal/Settings/Applications and deselecting the checkbox for "Enable Talent Matching". You may also contact our Success team by emailing success@haleymarketing.com.
What do the ratings on applications mean?
Each rating is assigned based on a predetermined algorithm that is maintained by TopResume. Their system identifies necessary skills based on the job title, and matches those keywords with the resume content.
Can I use this if I use a third-party ATS application instead of Haley's career portal application?
Unfortunately, no - If you are not using the application that is built into the Haley Career Portal, you cannot use the TalentMatch feature.
Is the candidate resume captured and stored in myHaley if the candidate only checks their resume match but doesn't apply for the job?
No, it does not. Only resumes and match data for candidates who apply for the job are captured.
How does Talent Match work with applicants using Quick Apply options from aggregators sites like Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc.?
It doesn’t. The only way the candidate will be presented with the option to match their resume is from the Haley career portal interface. If they never see the posting on the client’s portal, they won’t have the opportunity to use the feature.
